Thassos
According to the legend, Thassos was the island of the Sirens, the evil women with the fish tail. Nowadays, Thassos is considered as one divine tourist site.
The construction of hotels and roads and the quite frequent transport by ferry and high speed dolphins from Kavala and Keramoti ports contribute to the sustainable economic development of the island.
Over the years, Thassos began to regain its former glory and has once again become the gorgeous paradise described by Konstantinos Melas and so many other Greek and foreign writers, poets and wanderers.
